Italian adventures

so here i am four weeks into the semester and i have been all over. we went on a ten day tour of northern italy. we started in Florence. which was incredible! we got to climb to the top of the duomo, which just so happens to be the largest dome in the world (volume wise, the largest span is still the pantheon). it was awesome!! you could see eeeeverything. then a few friends and i got to sample one of the local favorite deserts, gelato on waffles with chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and strawberries (which you can see to the right. along with my initial reaction). i have never tasted anything so good... or so i thought.. the next day we went and saw the David and the Ponte Vecchio. and to top off our stay in florence, we were treated to genuine Florentine Steaks!! i dont think i can eat steak again. ive been spoiled now. (NOW i have never tasted anything so good!)

after florence we spent the day in Bologna, where it was snowing!! we had this epic snowball fight instead of actually doing anything for class haha that night we went to Venice, which may have been my favorite city. everything there was so pretty, the people were nice, the fish market was awesome, and the fact that there are NO cars is pretty cool. and all the architecture there was fantastic. there is so much history there that everything has a story. it was all really cool. there really is no other place in the world like it.

ok well thats it for now. i have a history test to study for! but i shall be sure to update you on the rest of my trip shortly!
